Beijing: ‘Olympic collectors’ in Hutong

Zhang Wenquan, 35, lives in a hutong in Beijing’s Xicheng district. He has amassed more than 5,000 pieces of Olympic souvenirs in his one-story house measuring more than 30 square meters.Zhang wenquan’s collecting began during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, when he volunteered to collect all kinds of memorabilia related to the Games.During the Beijing Winter Olympics, Zhang has amassed more than 100 items of Olympic memorabilia, and his home has become an Olympic museum in a variety of hutongs.Photo by Chen Xiaogen (People’s Photo website)
